Fondo Community es un programa derivado del Fondo Transborder que abre nuevas posibilidades para apoyar a la comunidad artística transfronteriza.
Deseamos colaborar con aquellxs que trabajan en favor de la resolución de conflictos, que atienden las distintas brechas de desigualdad y generan prácticas que se comprometen ante la inequidad que impacta nuestro territorio. Buscamos aliadxs que sean capaces de responder a dichas condiciones a través de la práctica social, creatividad, y la formación de nuevos vínculos significativos dentro y para sus comunidades.
A partir de marzo del 2024, Fondo Community distribuirá $2,000 dólares cada mes en apoyos pequeños de hasta $1,000 dólares (2 solicitudes de $500 dólares máximo por año) a artistas, curadorxs y gestorxs que estén realizando eventos como:
Fund Comunidad is a program that stems from Art Fund Transfronterizo to open up new possibilities of support for the transborder art community.
We aim to collaborate with those who work towards conflict resolution, address inequality gaps, and create practices committed to address the inequity impacting our territory. We seek allies who are capable of responding to these conditions through social practice, creativity, and by fostering new meaningful connections within and for their communities.
Starting on March, 2024, Fund Comunidad will disburse $2,000 dollars each month in small grants of up to $1,000 dollars (2 applications for $500 dollars maximum per year) among artists, curators and cultural workers organizing events like:
Este apoyo no puede ser recibido simultáneamente al Fondo Transborder (FT). Si obtuviste el FT, te pedimos esperar un año antes de solicitar cualquiera de nuestros apoyos, incluyendo el programa Fondo Community.
La posibilidad de solicitar un segundo apoyo para la o el mismo artista está sujeta a consideración de la magnitud de su proyecto. Sucederá siempre y cuando la primera solicitud haya sido aprobada, y demuestre que el resto del dinero (para llegar al tope de $1,000) sería significativamente de impacto para su desarrollo o conclusión.
This grant cannot be received simultaneously along with the Fondo Transborder (TF) grant. If you have received the TF recently, we ask you to refrain for one year before applying for any of our programs, including Fondo Community.
The possibility of requesting a second stipend for the same artist is subject to consideration of the magnitude of their project. It will occur only if the first request has been approved earlier and the artist demonstrates that the remaining funds (to reach the $1,000 maximum) will be significant to develop or conclude the project.
